What is ChainSafe?

ChainSafe Systems is a blockchain research and development firm that builds and maintains open source protocol clients, infrastructure services, and developer tooling across multiple networks. On the protocol side, ChainSafe develops Lodestar — an Ethereum consensus client written in TypeScript — as well as Forest, a Rust implementation of the Filecoin protocol, and Gossamer, a Go-based framework for building and running Polkadot nodes. The infrastructure division provides RPC endpoints, testnet operations, IPFS gateways, rollup creation, decentralized storage, snapshot services, and staking for networks including Ethereum, Celestia, Aztec, and zkVerify. ChainSafe also offers co-development services — working directly alongside protocol teams from architecture design through deployment. Ecosystem partners include Ethereum Foundation, Filecoin, Polkadot, Optimism, Base, Celestia, Lido, The Graph, and Aztec.
