What is BULK?

BULK is a decentralized trading system designed to reduce the latency gap between centralized and decentralized markets. Its architecture focuses on:

• Low-latency order matching and propagation in the 5–20 ms range, with research toward microsecond execution.

• Leaderless decentralization, avoiding single points of failure, leader-based block production, or centralized sequencers.

• Verifiable and permissionless participation, where system state is cryptographically verifiable and validator access is open, secured by economic stake.

• High-performance order book, enabling throughput beyond current on-chain systems.

BULK implements deterministic FIFO order matching, colocation-level execution speed through a validator network, gasless orders, and APIs for integration. The design excludes bridges and sequencers to reduce security and centralization risks. It uses Solana for decentralized custody and settlement, while providing a separate execution layer optimized for speed.
