<p>BoringDAO is a blockchain-based cross-chain service provider. As the name suggests, it is DAO-led and is compatible with every crypto asset. Its main services are pegged token wrapping and asset transfers. It offers these services on its oPortal Bridge, oToken Tunnel, and Satellite City products.</p><p>The BORING token is BoringDAO’s native cryptocurrency. It functions as a governance and utility token. There is a maximum supply of 2,000,000,000 BORING tokens, with 60% of them to be distributed to the community via minting and farming.</p><h3>What are BoringDAO’s key features and how does it work?</h3><p>As mentioned, BoringDAO has three key products. oPortal Bridge is built for cross-chain transfers. It features two types of bridges: a Two-Way Bridge and a Native Bridge. By using the Two-Way Bridge, users can transfer assets between Layer1 and Layer2 projects. Any asset can be transferred efficiently, and quickly. The Native Bridge allows users to transfer tokens between different blockchain networks. It works by frictionlessly mapping tokens from one chain to another, without the need for intermediate assets or any third-party interaction.</p><p>The next product is the oToken Tunnel. The oToken Tunnel can be used to wrap any crypto asset. Each blockchain asset has its own tunnel that can be created on the platform. Tunnels allow non-smart contract assets to be programmable and increase their use cases. For example, BTC can be wrapped into oBTC and used on the Ethereum network. In order to open a new wrapping tunnel, a certain amount of BORING must be staked to reach the minimum requirement.</p><p>The Satellite City product has been created to allow great capacity for the oBTC Tunnel.
