Description

BTC Drivechains is a PoW Bitcoin-scaling network for sidechains through BIP300/301.

What is Bitcoin Drivechains?

BTC Drivechains / eCash is a Bitcoin hard fork project that activates Drivechains through BIP300/301. It is designed to let a Bitcoin-like network support sidechains where users can move coins through a two-way peg, while miners can participate in sidechain security through blind merged mining.

eCash uses a Bitcoin Core-compatible codebase, SHA-256d Proof-of-Work and a 1:1 ECX allocation to BTC addresses at the fork block. Sidechains in this model can run their own rules and applications, while the base L1 remains the settlement layer for ECX.
