What is Beyond?

Beyond is a blockchain-interoperability protocol that aims to make Bitcoin (BTC) and assets on other blockchains work together smoothly — bridging across chains and across different Bitcoin token standards. It lets you take tokens such as USDT, ETH, or SOL (and other major digital assets), and move them onto Bitcoin L1 — converting them into a Bitcoin-native format. The goal is to open up “Bitcoin + DeFi + interoperability”: bringing assets and liquidity from various chains into Bitcoin’s ecosystem — and letting Bitcoin or Bitcoin-native assets flow to non-Bitcoin ecosystems.

Also the protocol enables transfers from Bitcoin (whether BTC or Bitcoin-native tokens like BRC-20/Runes) to other chains and blockchains, effectively enabling “two-way and multi-directional bridges.” Beyond supports not just cross-chain bridging, but cross-standard conversion inside Bitcoin itself — for example converting between different Bitcoin token standards (BRC-20, Runes, Taproot Assets, etc.) without leaving Bitcoin.
