Athena Money is the Moonriver network’s first ever algorithmic stablecoin protocol. The protocol's mechanism algorithmically adapts $OWL’s supply in order to keep it pegged to the price of $MOVR. Inspired by the original idea behind Basis, bDollar, Soup, and its predecessors, Athenamoney.org is a multi-token protocol which consists of the following three tokens:<ul><li>Owl (OWL);</li><li>Owl Shares (OSHARE);</li><li>Owl Bonds (OBOND).</li></ul>OWL token is designed to be used as a medium of exchange. The built-in stability mechanism in the protocol aims to maintain Athena's peg to 1 Moonriver (MOVR) token in the long run.
