ARPA is a computation network with the goal of providing privacy-preserving tools and services. It aims to offer a layer-2 privacy solution for blockchain networks and is designed to be compatible with most major blockchains, but it operates as a stand-alone network. ARPA is permissionless and network participants can autonomously join and share their computation resources in return for rewards.
The team has three missions for the project. They are:
ARPA is the network’s native cryptocurrency.
In order to provide the secure off-chain computation, a proxy smart contract must be set up to integrate ARPA network nodes with the receiving blockchain. ARPA network nodes will then handle and deal with the computation requests according to the smart contracts.
The ARPA network comprises two layers: protocol and computation. The two layers work together to provide the network’s functions. The protocol layer is in charge of tasks of supportive nature. This includes node selection and playing the role of a bridge between the MPC (Multiparty Computation) nodes and smart contracts on the blockchain. As the name suggests, the computation layer conducts ARPA’s Multiparty Computation.
Nodes are incentivized to behave well in return for economic rewards. Furthermore, computation correctness can be verified, even under malicious conditions, with the use of secret sharing and information-theoretic Message Authentication Code (MAC).
Some of ARPA’s noteworthy features include:
Developers can use the ARPA network to protect dApp data privacy, and create applications that preserve privacy, without the need for prior cryptography knowledge or experience. The ARPA design also facilitates the transfer of data without disclosing the raw data to users during data-at-use. As such, data value can be sold without disclosing the raw data at any point in the process.
As such, ARPA technology can be deployed across a variety of use cases and sectors. This includes fintech and insurance. For example, financial institutions can search shared blacklists without having to disclose private information. In digital advertising, projects can display relevant ads according to user behavior tags, without accessing private information.
ARPA is available for trading on the following CEXs and DEXs listed here. The most popular platforms with the highest liquidity are Binance, Lbank, and Gate.io. The price of ARPA will vary depending on the choice of exchange and overall market conditions. For up-to-date and historic data for ARPA market price, please view the price charts on this page.
