Apyx is a stablecoin protocol backed by preferred shares of Digital Asset Treasuries (DATs). The system utilizes off-chain dividend cash flows to generate on-chain dollar liquidity and yield.
The protocol consists of three main components:
apxUSD: A synthetic dollar backed by DAT preferred shares. It functions as a liquidity layer and does not pay yield to holders. Stability is maintained through Protocol-Owned Liquidity (POL), which acts as a buffer during market volatility.
apyUSD: A yield-bearing stablecoin (YBS). It accrues value from the dividends paid by the preferred shares that back apxUSD. It serves as a scalable instrument for capturing yield from digital credit.
APYX: The native governance token. It is designed to manage the protocol’s treasury and influence its technical development.
