It evolved from the Antimatter project and emphasizes innovations using Bitcoin's programmability features like Taproot, MAST, timelocks, and Schnorr signatures.Its flagship product is BitSig, an open-source, non-custodial smart vault platform for secure, decentralized Bitcoin custody. BitSig uses degrading multisignature quorum vaults: pooled BTC is governed by programmable Bitcoin Script contracts where signatories (up to 999) have customizable voting power. Withdrawals require a quorum approval, but the threshold degrades over time to protect against lost keys. Voting and coordination happen via mirror contracts on any chosen EVM-compatible chain (for easy web3 wallet use), with final execution mirrored back to Bitcoin for native security—no wrapping, custodians, or bridges involved.The project targets teams, DAOs, institutions, and users needing trustless custody for substantial Bitcoin amounts, allowing interaction via familiar EVM web3 wallets while keeping assets native on Bitcoin (no wrapping or custodians).
