alETH is an Ethereum-backed synthetic asset in the Alchemix ecosystem. It is created by depositing ETH as collateral in the Alchemix protocol, which then allows users to borrow up to 50% of their collateral value in alETH. This process is self-repaying, as the collateral deposited earns yield over time, gradually repaying the borrowed alETH. alETH provides users with liquidity while still maintaining exposure to their ETH investment.
