Ripple has announced a collaboration with Evmos to create an EVM-compatible sidechain for the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Partnering with Peersyst, this project aims to integrate EVM applications into XRPL’s $27 billion ecosystem. The sidechain, built on the evmOS solution, will support native Web3 applications and provide access to over 60 Cosmos SDKs, IBC protocols, and more than 90 connected chains. Additionally, Evmos has pledged $5 million in grants to support this initiative. This development enhances the interoperability of XRPL, offering users seamless access to diverse, decentralized applications (DApps).
