Giggle Academy has received $3 million BNB donations in 36 hours. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao earlier reported receiving $1 million BNB donations within 12 hours from the launch of the feature. The utility of the donation is to compensate creators for their efforts despite Giggle Academy being a zero-revenue platform. The focus is largely on providing good quality education under the initiative founded by CZ.

BNB Donations to Giggle Academy

Binance Founder Changpeng Zhao shared that Giggle Academy received $3 million BNB donations in 36 hours. CZ earlier shared that donations worth $1 million BNB were received in 12 hours from the commencement of the initiative. He praised the community and underlined that 90% of the donations were from a meme coin.

Changpeng CZ Zhao added that he does not plan to complicate the model of free education with tokenomics. Therefore, he further stated, there will not be a token from Giggle Academy. CZ noted that Giggle Academy was capable of smooth operations under donations from alumni who would get better jobs through the academy’s quality education.

Utility of BNB Donations

Changpeng Zhao emphasized that it was important to incentivize creators despite the academy following a zero-revenue model. So, the donations that it receives would be utilized to incentivize creators. CZ said that the academy would continue to provide education for free, and at good quality.

Giggle Academy has shed more light on the utility of donations. It said through an X post that donations would also be utilized in developing the ecosystem and impact expansion. These are in addition to the promotion of the product and building of the community.

All donations to Giggle Academy will only be in crypto, which the community can trace at any time. CZ has confirmed that Giggle Academy, at the moment, is not accepting donations in fiat currencies.

Giggle Academy has clarified on its X profile that its sole focus is to make education accessible. Its mission is to offer learning in a fun and addictive way. Founded by Changpeng CZ Zhao, the academy currently runs on donations.

It recently launched the 1.18.0 update, offering key features like optimized voice authorization management, improved course drawing feature, and optimized storybook homepage. Giggle Academy plans to continue expanding its offering as, and when, donations pour in.
