Fireblocks has hired Peter Marton, a former deputy superintendent at the New York State Department of Financial Services, as its director of digital identity. Marton’s tenure in developing regulatory frameworks is expected to enhance the development of on-chain identity and programmable compliance solutions at Fireblocks. The company has also hired Chaitanya Reddy Konda, the creator of Nightfall, a Layer 2 rollup blockchain co-developed with Polygon, as senior technical product manager for digital identity and privacy. The appointments follow the company’s recent $10m acquisition of BlockFold, a smart contract development and consulting firm.
