Ethereum Price Prediction: Breakout Could Send ETH Toward $2,500

Ethereum Price Prediction: Breakout Could Send ETH Toward $2,500

Share:

AI Overview

Ethereum has reclaimed $1,825 and is trying to turn it into support with near-term hurdles at $1,900 and $2,000–$2,100 and an upside target zone around $2,500–$2,620 if momentum holds; downside risk sits at $1,750 and the June low near $1,505. ETH is also testing a breakout vs Bitcoin at 0.0285–0.029 BTC with support at 0.0262 BTC and potential targets of 0.030–0.032 BTC, and possible progress on the CLARITY Act (Senate in May, House subcommittee hearing July 17) could boost adoption and capital flows into Ethereum, DeFi and ETH-linked tokens.

Ethereum is holding above $1,825 while also gaining strength against Bitcoin. If both breakouts continue, ETH could target $2,500 and pull more capital into Ethereum-based altcoins.

Ethereum Reclaims $1,825 as $2,500 Target Comes Into View

Ethereum has broken above the $1,825 resistance zone and is now trying to turn it into support. Holding this level could strengthen the recovery and open the way toward $2,465-$2,600.

The chart shows ETH recovering from the June lows near $1,505 and moving above both short-term moving averages. The latest pullback held around the former resistance area, suggesting buyers are defending the breakout rather than immediately losing control.

The first challenge sits around $1,900, where the latest advance briefly stalled. A clean move above that level could bring $2,000-$2,100 into focus before ETH challenges the previous range high near $2,465.

The main target zone appears between roughly $2,500 and $2,620. Reaching it would require ETH to continue forming higher lows and reclaim the resistance levels that developed during the earlier decline.

Van de Poppe also linked the bullish outlook to possible progress on the CLARITY Act. However, approval next week remains an expectation rather than a confirmed event. The Senate Banking Committee advanced the legislation in May, and a House subcommittee held another hearing on it July 17.

The setup would weaken if Ethereum falls back below $1,825 and fails to recover quickly. That could expose $1,750 first, followed by the larger support zone near $1,505.

Ethereum Nears a Major Breakout Against Bitcoin

Ethereum is testing the upper boundary of a yearlong descending channel against Bitcoin. A sustained breakout could mark its first meaningful shift in relative strength and support a wider recovery across ETH-linked altcoins.

The pair has recovered from the long-term support near 0.0262 BTC and is now pressing above the channel resistance around 0.0285-0.029 BTC. Holding above this area through the next weekly close would make the breakout more convincing.

A confirmed move higher could return ETH/BTC toward 0.030 BTC first, followed by the previous reaction zone near 0.032 BTC. Stronger Ethereum performance against Bitcoin could also improve momentum across tokens in the Ethereum ecosystem.

However, another rejection would keep the yearlong downtrend intact. Losing 0.0262 BTC would weaken the recovery and raise the risk of another test of the channel’s lower boundary.
