Kamala Harris Meme Coin Skyrockets as Nominee Odds Hit 92%

A new Kamala Harris parody meme coin called Kamala Horris ($KAMA) is surging in price after bookmakers gave the US Vice President a 92% chance of being the Democrat Presidential candidate following incumbent Joe Biden’s withdrawal from this year’s race on Sunday.

According to the data, Kamala Horris rose 62% overnight to trade at $0.03707 as of this writing. This price point represents a seven-day increase of 732.5% and a staggering 2993% increase from 30 days ago.

The election season is a key driver of many parody meme projects in recent weeks, from the plethora of Trump coins that surged on certain key news, (like Biden’s withdrawal and the failed assassination attempt on the newly crypto friendly forty-fifth President), to Jeo Boden ($BODEN), a meme coin parody of Biden that his Republican opponent mocked back in May.

Kamala Horris Outperforming Other Meme Coins

That said, Kamala’s meme coin $KAMA appears to be outdoing them both, according to the data. Jeo Boden is down across the board, after losing 28% overnight, 65% over the week and 83% over the month.

Leading Trump meme coin MAGA ($TRUMP) is also posting losses for its holders, having shed 3.3% overnight, 18% over the week and 7% over the last 30 days.

So, the biggest winner from the news cycle though is undoubtedly Kamala Horris ($KAMA).

The meme coin parody of Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris slowly gained traction over the last few weeks, even before Biden’s withdrawal.

Last week, news broke that one savvy trader managed to turn a $960 purchase into $77,829 over the course of three weeks, generating returns of ~8,100%.

Elections, Kamala Harris, Olympics—Trending Topics Are Causing Meme Coin Summer

Beyond election fever, another seminal event is shaping the meme coin landscape this year with a brand new presale that has so far raised a quarter of a million dollars.

The 2024 Paris Olympics meets Meme Coin mania in a new token called The Meme Games ($MGMES).

Those who buy $MGMES tokens now are prompted to select their favorite meme coin avatar, between Dogecoin, Pepe, DogWifHat, Brett and Turbo, and watch them race for a one-in-five chance to claim a 25% bonus on their initial purchase.

$MGMES is currently selling at a fixed presale price of $0.00905. In two days it rises incrementally to the next fixed price of $0.0091.

This means today’s investors can purchase 10,000 $MGMES at just $90.50. This is the lowest price the token will be at for the rest of the presale season, which will run concurrently with this year’s Paris Olympics and Paralympics.

Participants can purchase $MGMES an unlimited number of times with no minimum purchase requirement to increase their chances of securing multiple 25% token bonuses.

The official project website and whitepaper encourage investors to stake tokens during the presale to take advantage of the frankly eye-watering 1059% APY on offer right now. This figure decreases with the number of stakers, so participants will want to stake early and stake big to maximise yield. Staking is only on Ethereum.
