KuCoin Lists Somnia (SOMI), a New L1 Whose Testnet is Already Outpacing Solana

Global crypto exchange KuCoin has announced the listing of Somnia (SOMI), a high-speed Layer-1 blockchain built for large-scale gaming, social platforms, and AI-powered applications. 

According to the announcement, trading for the SOMI/USDT pair begins at 14:30 UTC today, September 2, with deposits already open on the Somnia Mainnet.

KuCoin Trading Schedule and Key Details

Before the official commencement of trading, KuCoin revealed that there would be a call auction for SOMI/USDT, which will run from 13:30 to 14:30 UTC on September 2, 2025. 

Meanwhile, spot trading will open immediately after the call auction at 14:30 UTC. However, withdrawals for SOMI will be available beginning September 3 at 10:00 UTC.

The exchange emphasized that only deposits via the Somnia Mainnet are supported. Kucoin also cautioned users not to attempt deposits from other blockchains, as such transfers may result in asset loss.
