POSCO International tests tokenized trade finance on Avalanche with Olea

POSCO International completed a pilot that tokenized trade receivables on Avalanche, with Intain running a Layer-1 built on Avalanche and Olea providing capital and acquiring the tokenized receivables. The AI-validated process verified invoices and shipping records, marking a milestone for crypto adoption in trade finance and suggesting improved liquidity, risk management and on-chain DeFi use cases.
POSCO International has completed a new trade-finance pilot that turns real trade receivables into blockchain-based assets. The South Korean trading company used Avalanche infrastructure for the project. Olea provided capital and acquired the tokenized receivables in the pilot.
The pilot involved POSCO International America, Intain and Olea. Intain runs a Layer-1 network built on Avalanche technology. The process began with AI systems that checked invoices, shipping records and other trade documents. Those checks helped confirm that the underlying transactions matched before registration.
