Key Insights:
- Bitcoin ETFs shed $202 million, putting pressure on the price.
- Metaplanet deposited 3,000 BTC worth $237 million into Coinbase Prime within 24 hours.
- Bitcoin price was rejected at $81,500, while analyst Ted identifies a major support zone.
According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $201.81 million in Friday outflows, ending nine consecutive inflow sessions. The price of Bitcoin sat at $77,703.93, down 2.1% over 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Ethereum ETFs attracted $102 million, extending their inflow streak to 10 days. The session also included Metaplanet-linked transfers to Coinbase Prime and heavy long liquidations.
Bitcoin ETFs Recorded Outflows on Friday
Friday marked the week’s final trading session for the funds. SoSoValue attributed the largest withdrawal to ARKB, which lost $114.89 million. BITB posted $49.69 million, while IBIT recorded $33.40 million.

Additionally, HODL lost $13.17 million during the session. MSBT added $9.34 million, partly offsetting withdrawals from the other four funds. Cumulative net inflows across the sector totaled $54.63 billion after Friday’s activity. IBIT held $63.36 billion in cumulative inflows, while GBTC carried $27.61 billion in cumulative outflows.
Meanwhile, BTC.com CEO Jiang Zhuoer monitored ETF flows and the Coinbase premium for signs of fresh capital after Bitcoin’s rally. He identified trapped downtrend holders and lower-priced buyers taking profits among current sellers.
Notably, Jiang viewed Friday’s flow as a measure of whether incoming demand could absorb those sales. He also linked the negative ETF result to Federal Reserve Chair Powell’s hawkish position. According to Jiang, that policy tone contributed to further weekend weakness.
Furthermore, Jiang called the decline Bitcoin’s first major test since the uptrend began. He said the early-morning drop could mark the start of a broader trend reversal. During the decline, he reported selling half of his spot Ethereum position.
Metaplanet Sends Bitcoin to Coinbase Prime
Meanwhile, Lookonchain reported that Metaplanet-linked wallets transferred 3,000 BTC to Coinbase Prime deposit addresses within 23 hours. Arkham tracked 15 transactions worth approximately $237.43 million.

The largest transaction carried 771 BTC worth $61.64 million. Another transfer contained 745 BTC worth $57.97 million. Additionally, the three most recent transfers moved exactly 1,000 BTC, worth approximately $77.81 million.
Together, the remaining transactions accounted for another 2,000 BTC worth approximately $159.62 million. Arkham labeled most sending addresses as Metaplanet Coinbase Prime Custody wallets. Two visible transactions originated from addresses labeled “Metaplanet cold wallet”.
When large holders transfer Bitcoin to exchanges, traders often monitor the movement for possible selling pressure. However, such transfers do not confirm a sale.
Bitcoin Price Approaches Major Support Amid Liquidations
At the same time, Bitcoin liquidations reached $142.89 million over 24 hours. Long positions generated $120.96 million, or nearly 85% of the total. Shorts accounted for the remaining $21.94 million.

However, liquidation activity slowed during the latest 12 hours, reaching $2.45 million. Longs contributed $1.58 million, while shorts contributed $868,120.
Meanwhile, shorter periods showed the opposite positioning pattern. Short liquidations reached $386,980 over four hours, compared with $121,860 for longs.
During the latest hour, shorts recorded $52,410, while longs recorded $12,200. That shift coincided with Bitcoin stabilizing mainly between $77,400 and $77,900.
CoinGecko data placed the 24-hour low at $76,962.33 and the high at $79,745.20. The trading range measured roughly 3.6%.
Finally, the intraday low near $76,960 provided immediate support after buyers recovered from $77,100. Bitcoin then failed to reclaim $78,000.
Analyst Ted said on X that Bitcoin’s recent sharp rejection from $81,500 shifted attention toward the $74,000–$75,000 support zone. He expects the Bitcoin price to retest this range following the recent decline. According to Ted, holding that support would allow BTC to resume its uptrend.
