Algorand, a Proof-of-Stake blockchain, published a roadmap to implement post-quantum cryptography and become quantum-resistant by the end of 2027 in response to rising post-quantum threats. The planned protocol updates and ongoing PQC research aim to strengthen crypto security and custody for DeFi, DEX and CEX use cases, supporting token security and broader adoption.
