May 14, 2024, Re, a real-world asset (RWA) platform specializing in offering tokenized reinsurance has opened its first open-ended reinsurance fund using the Avalanche (AVAX) network. The new fund backs low-volatility insurances covering properties, trucking, aviation and workers compensation, excluding catastrophic risks at the start. The firm also raised $7 million in a venture capital investment round led by Electric Capital.
