Testnet (1)
Octra has announced its first actions on the test network. We can create a wallet, request test tokens, and wait for updates from the project team. This is a great opportunity to become early users. You will need a GitHub account to participate.

3. In the window that opens, enter the commands from this document into the terminal:
4. After that, you'll see a notification in the bottom right corner. Click on it to go to the wallet creation page. Click Generate Wallet and be sure to save all keys and mnemonics:

6. Join Discord and wait for updates from the project team. If you wish, you can help newbies and try to get roles.
Testnet (2)
Octra has announced the second week of testnet with new activities. We can to send test coins to other addresses.
1. Go to Github and download the client. You will need Python version 3.8 or higher to run it. Download Python on website. Check the box Use Path while installing to pip works correctly.
2. Open the wallet.json.example file and enter your private key and address. Rename file to Wallet.json after that.
3. Open a system terminal and use the command cd with your path. Copy folder path in file explorer and use command as shown in the screenshot.
4. Run the client with the run.bat command for Windows and ./run.sh for Mac. You you will see the interface in the terminal. Interact using the numbers in the Command field. Test sending and multi send test coins to other addresses. Users post addresses in Discord in the for-token-sharing channel.
Testnet (3)
Octra has announced the third week of activity in testnet. The client has been updated and features of balance encryption and sending encrypted transactions have been added. Follow our first Octra guide to create your address on the testnet.
1. Update the client according to our second Octra guide. The new client is uploaded to Github at the time of writing.
2. Type the command run.bat for Windows and ./run.sh for Linux/Mac in the terminal.
3. You will see the console interface of the updated client. Test the new encrypted transactions and balance encryption/decryption features. You can find addresses to send test coins in Discord in the for-token-sharing channel. Interact using numbers in command field.
