Sakura is a platform built for cross-chain Defi on Kusama. Clover is building a foundation layer for DeFi applications to seamlessly operate. Clover will put together a large user base and different projects into a one-stop open and integrated financial service platform on Polkadot, using the Substrate framework.

Key features of Sakura:

• Performance and Innovation. Sakura network will serve as an innovative sibling cross-chain network to Clover with looser restrictions, allowing creators and users on the network with a high-performance network powered by the security of Kusama
• On-Chain Governance. Kusama will enable a more community-driven and faster on-chain governance methodology, allowing Sakura builders to immediately start developing groundbreaking DeFi Dapps without the constraints of stricter governance guidelines.
• Development Tools. Sakura developers will be able to use both substrate-based and Ethereum compatible development environments. Developers familiar with EVM-based development tools like Solidity, Web3, Truffle, etc, will easily be able to deploy their applications on top of the Sakura network, and secured by Kusama.

Sakura will make use of the original Clover feeconomics design, allowing users to enjoy gasless transactions —meaning a user will not be required to have SKU in their wallet to transact on the Sakura network and can use any other token. Sakura is also working on a Dynamic Fee Schedule, to be proposed through on-chain governance, where the gas fee will be proportional to the amount of usage a wallet has on the Sakura network.
