It was founded in 2018 with the goal of elevating fan engagement by providing new ways for teams to monetize their fan base and for followers to show their support. Chiliz has a range of products and services, including the Socios.com fan engagement and rewards app, and Fan Token digital assets. The team have also created the Chiliz.net exchange, an exchange dedicated to sports.</p><p>CHZ token is Chiliz’s native cryptocurrency. It is both an ERC20 and BEP20 token. CHZ powers the entire ecosystem and has a supply of 8,888,888,888 CHZ.</p><h3>What are Chiliz’s key features and how does it work?</h3><p>As mentioned Chiliz has designed several products targeting the sports and entertainment sector, notably the Socios.com website, Socios app and the Chiliz.net cryptocurrency exchange.</p><p>Socios is a fan influence and rewards platform. It is available on mobile and desktop and allows fans to connect with their favourite teams or sporting organizations via Fan Tokens.&nbsp;</p><p>Fan Tokens are digital assets that can be minted on the Chiliz Blockchain. They have a limited supply and each sports team, or any sporting organization can create a Fan Token specific to their team or club. For example, the first Fan Token was created for the Italian football team Juventus (JUV). Paris-Saint Germain, FC Barcelona, and other football teams have since created tokens for their fan bases.&nbsp;</p><p>New Fan Tokens are released via Fan Token Offering (FTO). This allows fans to buy tokens at a fixed price before they are available in the market. The CHZ token is needed to buy Fan Tokens, which can be bought via the Socios app, or on available markets.</p><p>Fan Tokens allow fans to engage with their teams in more intimate ways. This includes voting in polls, accessing VIP rewards and promotions, chat forums, games, and global competitions. For example, fans could use the token to vote in a poll to choose merchandise designs, celebration songs, or other decisions.</p><p>The Chiliz.net platform is an exchange that is dedicated to allowing fans to buy, sell, and trade Fan Tokens. Trading pairs with the CHZ token are fee free for buyers, and 0.6% for sellers.
