The Data Foundation backs Kled with $3M strategic investment, total funding reaches $14M

The Data Foundation has invested $3 million into Kled in a strategic deal that brings the human data marketplace’s total funding to $14 million. The raise follows earlier backing from venture funds and angels, with Kled positioning the cap table as composed only of strategic capital.
According to Kled, the project has been “extremely selective” with investors and has limited participation to strategic partners. The Data Foundation will join what the company describes as “some of the top venture funds and angels” that previously backed Kled as a human data marketplace.
Kled also disclosed updated growth metrics alongside the funding news. The company says it is on track to exceed 5 billion user uploads and to reach more than 2 million daily active data contributors this year, highlighting volume at both the content and contributor level on the marketplace.
The deal underscores continued investor interest in data marketplaces that can aggregate large, permissioned datasets at scale. With fresh capital from The Data Foundation and reported growth in uploads and daily contributors, market participants will be watching how Kled converts this reported traction into durable supply, demand, and protocol-level defensibility in the broader human data and AI data economy.
