The Tie acquires staking data platform Staking Rewards from Finrate AG

Finrate AG has sold its Staking Rewards platform and data business to crypto data firm The Tie, founder Mirko Schmiedl disclosed in a LinkedIn post. Financial terms of the transaction were not shared.
Launched in 2018, Staking Rewards started as a comparison hub for staking yields, risks and networks, positioned by Schmiedl as a "CoinMarketCap for staking." After an initial period of limited traction, the team leaned into SEO-driven distribution, and the platform has since been used by more than 4 million people to understand staking and digital asset yield, according to Schmiedl.
Under the deal, Staking Rewards' data will be integrated into The Tie Terminal and its APIs, giving the staking analytics product broader institutional distribution. In return, market intelligence from The Tie will surface on stakingrewards.com, creating a combined data surface across staking, yield and broader market metrics.
Co-founder Jannik Schmiedl and part of the Staking Rewards team are joining The Tie and will continue building the product there, while Mirko Schmiedl will remain involved with the business post-acquisition. He said users and partners should not see any disruption from the transition.
Finrate AG will now focus on expanding DAYS, the Digital Asset Yield Summit, which grew out of the original Staking Summit launched by the same team. The conference business has hosted multiple events, including DAYS Miami in May, which brought together allocators and family offices representing more than $2 trillion in assets, with the next edition set for October 6 in Singapore.
