LCX acquires DeFi platform MasterDEX to anchor new US-focused LCX Liberty line

LCX has completed the acquisition of multi-chain DeFi platform MasterDEX to support the launch of LCX Liberty, its US-focused DeFi product line. The deal was executed via LCX Liberty Labs Inc., the group's Miami-based US company. Financial terms were not disclosed, according to the company's announcement.
Founded in 2022, MasterDEX offers a non-custodial DeFi toolkit that includes a multi-chain swap and DEX aggregation engine, blockchain explorer, cross-chain portfolio tracker, token discovery platform with an integrated ad network, a perp DEX, and a tokenized stock DEX on Solana.
Under the agreement, all MasterDEX intellectual property, code and technology transfer to LCX, and the full MasterDEX team will join LCX. The stack will be integrated into LCX Liberty DEX, the non-custodial trading product within the LCX Liberty line, alongside LCX Liberty Wallet, LCX Liberty Chain and additional DeFi products the firm says will be announced in the coming weeks.
"Decentralized finance is moving from promise to infrastructure, and America is where that infrastructure is being built," LCX CEO Monty C. M. Metzger said in the release. "We could pick anything for LCX Liberty. We picked the best. MasterDEX brings four years of development and the team behind it, from day one."
LCX, which brands itself as the Liberty Crypto Exchange, has been building digital-asset infrastructure since 2018 and is positioning LCX Liberty as its American DeFi product suite as it expands from Europe into the US with both a centralized exchange and DeFi offerings.
