Coinbase Ventures has announced its investment in six early-stage projects operating on its incubated Base network via the Base Ecosystem Fund. The projects chosen are Avantis, BSX, Onboard, OpenCover, Paragraph, and Truflation, with investment amounts undisclosed. The fund has reportedly received over 800 funding applications, with the chosen works consisting of protocols for on-chain trading, self-custodial wallets, insurance aggregation, on-chain content platforms, and delivering independent daily inflation data. Base is a Layer 2 scaling solution on Ethereum designed to serve as a hub for Coinbase’s on-chain products and promote an open ecosystem for developers.
