Vodafone, a major UK-based telecommunications provider, has revealed plans to integrate cryptocurrency wallets into subscriber identity module (SIM) cards.

According to David Palmer, Vodafone Blockchain Lead, during an interview with Yahoo Finance Future Focus, the company is set to harness the cryptography already available in SIM cards to facilitate this integration.
The plan is to connect the SIM card not only to the user’s digital identity but also directly to blockchain networks, which could revolutionize how users access and use digital currencies.
