The Monochrome Spot Bitcoin ETF (IBTC), Australia’s first and only ETF holding Bitcoin directly, stands out from the rest of the ETFs due to its unique position. The IBTC allows global investors to directly exchange their Bitcoin for units of the ETF (IBTC) and vice versa, which is quite different from other BTC ETFs, particularly those in the US and Hong Kong where investors deal with Authorized Participants (APs) who act as intermediaries. Additionally, investors can also borrow money against their ETF holdings, using IBTC as collateral.
