Known for never being blindsided, Trump’s move is seen as a confluence of Web3 incentives with old-school political access. The announcement also stirred speculation of insider dealings after a $5 million TRUMP token buy occurred just hours before the event went public.

Arkham data indicates this whale used 5M USDC to buy 407k TRUMP at $12.27, netting over $730k in paper profits when the token surged 30% post-announcement. Meanwhile, another large holder reportedly sold minutes too early, missing a potential $4.5M gain.
