BlackRock is launching the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) on Nasdaq today, nearly two years after spot ETH ETFs debuted; the fund will hold spot ETH and stake a portion of assets under management to capture staking rewards. The staking ETF boosts institutional crypto adoption and could lock up liquid ETH and increase yield capture (upward price pressure), while raising custodial and centralization risks around staking and protocol exposure.
