Iggy Azalea Launches Mother Telecom Company Re-release with Mother Token Phone Buys

The Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has officially started her very own telecommunications company that will allow the purchase of phones using her very own cryptocurrency token named MOTHER. She revealed the bit on Sunday, getting everybody excited and psyched about it.

Iggy Azalea Integration of MOTHER Token

“Tomorrow I finally relaunching the telecommunication company I co-founded, and you can use $MOTHER or Sol to pay for phones or month-to-month cell plans”, tweeted Azalea on Sunday. Later in the week, she said she would follow up the tweet with an ad campaign and official rollout.

In an Xtra post on Sunday, Azalea said Unreal Mobile offers “a choice of phones for purchase if required,” but she stressed that it was “secondary”. Payments for the business are being looked after by the US company Sphere Labs, based in Boston.

The value of MOTHER surged by 25% following the announcement made on Monday morning.

Meme Coin Frenzy: A Celebrity

And now Azalea, in mere weeks after she debuted the MOTHER cryptocurrency token, has relaunched her telco firm, following a recent surge in popularity for celebrities launching their meme coins, like Caitlyn Jenner and Rich The Kid. However, the frenzy has not been devoid of c: a person in the middle of a few recent token developments is alleged crypto scammer Sahil Arora, accused of running several pump-and-dump schemes. Most notably, Rich The Kid publically announced Arora for indulging in fraud activities associated with his RICH token. Interestingly, he had also built an IGGY coin, which underperformed, apparently named after Azalea, but whom she denied. “Sahil baby, take your L and go already,” Azalea tweeted on May 28.

allegations of insider activity

But by any standard, the lifetime collapse of so many celebrity-launched coins bodes ill for Azalea’s efforts. Most of these end up worthless and are often plagued by insider trading, according to Bubblemaps. MOTHER has faced such accusations, too, with insiders supposedly buying up 20% of the coin supply during the launch and then reportedly dumping a hefty portion. To such claims, Azalea responded by stating how little authority she had over the endeavors. “Because this is my coin/coin – I’m somehow supposed to be liable for what random people do with their wallets,” she tweeted. “When in reality, them dumping only makes it harder for me to achieve my goal of having a coin that is part of pop culture.” Future Pricing and Plans While the telecoms firm says it is going to be crypto-friendly, so far, it has yet to announce any handset prices and the way those will flow into plans. An advertising blitz after this should shore up further details and keep building on the hype for this exciting new venture.
