Decentralized AI data network Perceptron raises $6.5M strategic round for data-questing platform

Perceptron, a decentralized AI data network, has closed a $6.5 million strategic round to expand its data-questing platform, the team announced on X. The round brings together Web3 investors, trading firms, ecosystem partners, and infrastructure providers.
Participants include Sigma Capital, Selini Capital, QCP Capital, P2 Ventures, CoinDCX Ventures, Momentum6, DeFi Capital, Walrus Foundation, Aethir, Colosseum, GuruDev Capital, Tempo Finance, NewTribe Capital, Digital Consensus Fund, and CodeCraft Capital. Valuation terms were not disclosed.
Perceptron is building a decentralized AI data mesh that aggregates global data collection into a single contributor network, replacing traditional centralized scraping and closed data partnerships. The protocol is live across more than 800,000 nodes in over 150 countries, with over 300,000 daily active contributors, according to the company.
The new capital will fund the launch and scaling of Perceptron’s data-questing platform, which lets AI companies commission specific, high-value datasets directly from the contributor network. The company says this compresses the timeline from data request to delivered, verified dataset to a matter of days, while allowing contributors to own and monetize their data and earnings without intermediaries.
In an initial phase, Perceptron’s live agents reached more than 200,000 users across communities such as Telegram and Discord, a figure the team says has grown to over 300,000 daily active users on a network of about 807,000 nodes. The company is targeting a longer-term expansion to roughly 5 million nodes as it builds out contributor tooling and rewards infrastructure.
“We’ve already shown that mission can become a reality, as evidenced by our ability to scale to hundreds of thousands of nodes organically,” said Peter Anthony, UK co-founder and CEO of Perceptron. “Now, with this funding, we are launching our data-questing platform, which will allow AI companies to commission specific, high-value datasets directly from our community.”
Nathan Gurr, investment analyst at P2 Ventures, said Perceptron’s model allows it to tap “niche expertise — from doctors and lawyers to native speakers — on demand, from anywhere in the world,” and positions the project to become a key data and intelligence layer in the DeAI stack.
Perceptron plans to focus near term on the data-questing platform launch, with additional product announcements expected next quarter.
