Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse hits back at scammers, vows to fight fraud

Brand Garlinghouse has criticized scammers who are trying to impersonate him on social media platforms. In a post on X social media platform, Brad Garlinghouse posted something colorful and referred to them as “pathetic lowlifes”. Ripple will fight these fraudsters. A video of a double in plaid pajama pants advertising a giveaway scam that is common was posted by the CEO. This scam offers that double cryptocurrency will be transferred to the fake wallet.

In his comments, Garlinghouse emphasized that Ripple would never ask customers for XRP. He jokingly pointed out that at least the imitator nailed his hair. This is Ripple’s most recent initiative in its attempts to inform people of the continued misuse of his image and the company’s brand.

AI technology fuels sophisticated new scams

For many years, Ripple has been on the offensive in combating the issue of cryptocurrency scams. In 2020 the blockchain company sued the video hosting giant YouTube. This lawsuit was in response to accusations that the platform did not prevent fraud in association with the Ripple brand. The company reached an agreement with YouTube in 2021, but this settlement has not stopped crafty fraudsters.

Although the law tries, scams only evolve; they become more sophisticated by using AI technologies. Lately, a disturbing deepfake of Brad Garlinghouse has shown up on social media. This deepfake precisely imitated his voice, reflecting the growing risk of such technologies in illegal activities.

Brad Garlinghouse urges vigilance in latest XRP update

In a subsequent posting, Garlinghouse advised the XRP community not to drop their vigilance. He complimented the production team of Ripple for their contribution to making the tutorial video.

The proactive communication approach of Garlinghouse is meant to stop the further scams by means of educating and involving the community. Ripple continues to confront AI scams by educating its clients on how to recognize and avoid such scams.
