“The U.S. is becoming the blockchain hub, and Bitcoin owes it to @realDonaldTrump!,” Sun, the founder of the cryptocurrency firm Tron, announced in a post on X Monday. “TRON is committed to making America great again and leading innovation.” World Liberty also posted on X that they are “honored to have the support” of Justin Sun and Tron.

Justin Sun Invests In Donald Trump’s World Liberty Financial (WLF)

Donald Trump’s crypto venture, WLF, is being promoted by Trump and his sons as part of the DeFi movement. The president-elect is listed as World Liberty Financial’s chief crypto advocate, while his sons, Eric, Donald Jr., and Barron Trump are named as its web3 ambassadors. During World Liberty’s initial launch, the Wilmington, Delaware-based project planned to raise $300 million at a $1.5 billion valuation. However, it recently disclosed that its $300 million offering of tokens is primarily being marketed offshore. Justin Sun’s investment in the company is the largest to date and comes from on-shore.

Currently, only accredited investors in the United States can access the platform. According to SEC guidelines, accredited investors must have a net worth of at least $1 million or an annual income of $200,000 individually ($300,000 with a spouse) for the past two years. Even though US access is limited, Donald Trump’s crypto project is open to all non-US persons. World Liberty Financial intends to expand access to all Americans in the future, stating: “We envision a future in which all Americans can make use of this venue and have equal access to tools and opportunities.”
