The UK Financial Conduct Authority reported from its March Stablecoin Sprint that stablecoins show their clearest crypto payment value in cross-border transfers, based on a two-day event with about 75 participants and a May trade finance roundtable of roughly 30 attendees. The FCA found limited UK consumer appetite to replace existing payment methods but indicated that forthcoming stablecoin rules will guide future payment regulation and could boost adoption and market clarity for crypto cross-border payments.
