Microsoft has shared enough promising updates in 2025 thus far to ensure investors are optimistic. Now, analysts at CNN are projecting higher lows for the stock over the next year.

Microsoft (MSFT) is quickly becoming a leader in the emerging quantum computing sector, making its stock a premium option. Although there has been debate on how far away the technology is, Quantum Computing is quickly establishing its presence in the future of technology, and Microsoft is ready to dominate that area. With more eyes on the quantum industry, the Windows creator has made its sights clear on leading the sector.

How High Can Microsoft MSFT Stock Trade in 2025?

Several analysts have revised their forecasts for Microsoft MSFT stock for the remainder of 2025. Analysts at CNN suggest that there is room to grow from its current 387.67 price. According to them, MSFT stock has a low projection of $440.00, which reflects an ROI of a modest 13% from current prices.

On the bullish side, however, CNN also projects a median price of $500.00 for MSFT and a high of $600.00 over the next 12 months. Those reflect an ROI of 28.98% and 54.77% respectively. Furthermore, 95% of analysts surveyed by CNN are calling MSFT stock a buy, with none suggesting to sell. Other experts share this bullishness, with DA Davidson upgrading their Microsoft stock projection to Buy from Neutral with a $450 price target on March 13.

Microsoft’s cloud and AI offerings set it apart from other major tech companies, which is why investors are bullish. The company has ramped up its production in those two areas in 2025 so far. As a result, Microsoft reported $69.6 billion in revenue in fiscal Q1 2025, up 12%. Its gross margin dollars grew 13% and 12% in constant currency while operating income increased 17% and 16% in constant currency. Earnings per share also experienced a 10% growth, reaching $3.23.
