Circle (NYSE: CRCL) CEO Jeremy Allaire said the stablecoin industry is still in its early stages, even after the company reached a major U.S. banking milestone. The announcement helped send Circle shares up about 10% on July 21.
Speaking to CNBC after Circle received approval to establish Circle National Trust, Allaire said the new national trust bank will help the company comply with the GENIUS Act. He added that it should also support broader institutional adoption of digital dollars.
