Senate Majority Leader John Thune filed cloture to proceed to H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, shortly before the Senate departed for its August recess after it became clear the bill would not be voted on in August. The procedural step advances crypto regulation toward a Senate floor debate and could accelerate regulatory clarity for crypto, DeFi, DEXs and CEXs if cloture succeeds.
Just a day or so after it became known that the most anticipated crypto legislation in the US will not be voted on in August, more details have emerged on when it will hit the Senate floor.
