AI Overview

Kaspa (KAS) has fallen roughly 87% from its $0.2075 ATH to about $0.02615 but nearly the entire supply is circulating (27.62B of 28.7B) and ownership is relatively diversified with 544,945 addresses holding ≥1 KAS while the top 1,000 wallets control 58.8%. Network metrics show a mixed recovery—hashrate dropped from 710.17 PH/s in Aug 2025 to ~276.9 PH/s by July 2026 then rebounded to ~320 PH/s in early August, daily transactions hold near 30,000 and active addresses rose from <1,000 to ~3,000—price sits in a historical demand zone $0.021957 to $0.027917 with risk of a liquidity sweep to $0.011526, indicating improving fundamentals and adoption but cautious market sentiment and downside risk.

Kaspa price has been through the kind of punishment that usually sends speculators looking elsewhere. From an all-time high of $0.2075, the token has fallen roughly 87%, trading around $0.02615 at the time of writing. On the surface, that doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Look a little deeper, though, and the picture becomes far more interesting. While the token has struggled, Kaspa’s underlying network metrics are telling a complete different story.

Kaspa Tokenomics Stand Out From Rivals

One reason Kaspa continues attracting attention is its tokenomics. Per the CoinMarketCap data, the network already has 27.62 billion KAS in circulation out of a maximum supply of 28.7 billion, meaning nearly the entire supply is already available in the market. Unlike many projects that still have large token unlocks ahead, Kaspa faces relatively limited future supply expansion.

Ownership distribution also appears comparatively diversified. Data shows 544,945 addresses currently hold at least 1 KAS, while the top 1,000 wallets control 58.80% of the total supply.

Compared with projects where more than 90% of supply is concentrated among the largest holders, Kaspa presents a noticeably broader ownership structure.

Mining Activity Shows Signs Of Recovery

Mining activity tells another part of the story. Kaspa’s hashrate declined steadily over the past year, falling from 710.17 PH/s in August 2025 to approximately 276.9 PH/s by the end of July 2026. A falling hashrate generally reflects miners shutting down equipment as weaker token prices or rising operating costs reduce profitability.

However, early August brought a modest reversal. Hashrate climbed from 276.9 PH/s to around 320 PH/s. Although still well below last year’s levels, the recovery suggests that reduced network difficulty may have encouraged some miners to reconnect their machines.

The network continues to be secured primarily by Humpool, F2Pool, and ViaBTC.

Network Activity Quietly Picks Up Again

Beyond mining, user activity has also improved. Kaspa has maintained roughly 30,000 daily transactions over the past month, indicating relatively stable network utilization despite market weakness.

More notably, active addresses have started increasing. During most of the previous 30 days, daily active addresses remained below 1,000. In early August, however, they climbed toward 3,000 per day.

While that doesn’t guarantee higher prices, increasing active addresses often indicate growing network participation, something many market participants monitor closely.

Kaspa Price Tests Critical Historical Zone

Technically, Kaspa price chart shows that KAS/USDT has returned to a familiar area. The chart shows a historical demand zone between around $0.021957 and $0.027917, where buyers previously stepped in before price briefly swept liquidity lower to around $0.011526.

That move was followed by an extraordinary rally of roughly 1,700% from the local low.

Today in Q3 2026, Kaspa has once again returned to this same demand region after its prolonged correction through 2025 and the first half of 2026.

Whether history repeats itself remains uncertain and is a big question mark. But, there is one possibility where we can see another liquidity sweep toward $0.011526 before any meaningful recovery develops. While, the alternative is that price continues consolidating within the current range until stronger investor demand emerges.

For now, Kaspa price remains caught between improving fundamentals and cautious market sentiment. Which side wins will likely determine its next major move.
