A new wave of token unlocks is approaching, and several projects still have a significant portion of their supply allocated to venture capital investors. This creates additional supply-side risk, especially in a market environment with limited liquidity.

The projects with the highest VC Dominance among upcoming unlocks are:
- LayerZero (ZRO) — 32.2% VC Dominance, with 13.42M ZRO ($15.0M) unlocking on June 20.
- Eclipse (ES) — 31.0%, with 103M ES ($15.2M) unlocking on July 16.
- SPACE ID (ID) — 28.0%, with 33.3M ID ($1.1M) unlocking on June 22.
- EigenCloud (EIGEN) — 27.5%, with 19.75M EIGEN ($4.3M) unlocking on July 1.
- XION — 26.8%, with 13.4M XION ($1.8M) unlocking as early as June 5.
Another project worth watching is Sahara AI (SAHARA). While its VC Dominance is lower at 19.8%, it has the largest unlock value on the list — 493.7M SAHARA worth $16.2M.
What Does This Mean for the Market?
Investors should pay attention not only to the dollar value of an unlock but also to:
- The unlock size relative to daily trading volume;
- Whether the token is already in a downtrend;
- Upcoming catalysts that could absorb new supply;
- The market's reaction to previous unlock events.
A high VC Dominance ratio does not necessarily mean investors will immediately sell their tokens. However, historically, projects with large venture allocations often experience increased selling pressure once lock-up periods expire. This is particularly true for assets with relatively low liquidity and limited organic demand.
