What is a prediction market?

A prediction market is a trading platform where you can buy and sell contracts tied to the outcome of real-world events - elections, interest rate decisions, sports matches, crypto milestones, and more. Each contract represents a specific outcome (e.g. "Yes - the Fed cuts rates"). Its price reflects the crowd's collective estimate of how likely that outcome is: a price of $0.72 means roughly 72% probability.

What's the difference between an Event and a Market?

An Event is the top-level question - for example, "What will the Fed decide on interest rates?" A Market is one specific outcome within that event - "Cut 25 bps," "Hold," or "Cut 50+ bps." Each market trades independently with its own price, liquidity, and volume. One event can contain many markets.

Which platforms does CryptoRank aggregate?

CryptoRank pulls data from two leading platforms: Polymarket and Kalshi. Data from both sources is normalized on our side so you can compare markets side by side without switching tabs. Some features - like Top Holders analytics - are available only for Polymarket, as Kalshi does not expose that data.

What do the Bid, Ask, and Spread columns mean?

Bid is the best available price to sell your "Yes" shares. Ask is the best available price to buy them. Spread is the gap between Bid and Ask, expressed as a percentage - the tighter the spread, the more liquid and efficient the market. A spread of 1-3% is generally healthy; double digits may indicate low liquidity.

Markets go through several stages: Active / Trading - Trading is live and prices update in real time. Closed - Trading has ended; awaiting final settlement.

What does "Open Interest" represent?

Open Interest is the total dollar value of all currently active positions across all markets - it tells you how much money is "in play" right now. High open interest signals strong ongoing engagement. CryptoRank shows Open Interest stats broken down by platform, with 24H trend indicators so you can see whether participation is growing or shrinking.

Yes. The search bar performs full-text matching on market names and event descriptions. You can also use filters to narrow by platform (Polymarket or Kalshi), category (Politics, Crypto, Sports, Finance, etc.), liquidity range, 24h volume, spread, bid/ask price, and resolution date. By default the table is sorted by 24h volume - highest first.

What does the Analyze button open?

The Analyze page gives you a deep dive into a specific event: a probability chart for all outcomes over time (1H to All), total volume and liquidity widgets, a breakdown of top holders (Yes vs. No), trader distribution by position size, and a PnL heatmap of the largest wallets. It's designed to help you understand the market dynamics before deciding to trade.

What is Wallet Statistics and how do I access it?

Wallet Statistics is a dedicated analytics page for any individual Polymarket trader. To open it, go to an event's Analyze page, scroll to the Top Holders table, and click any wallet address - this takes you to that wallet's full profile. The page shows summary metrics (Realized PnL, Unrealized PnL, Win Rate, Total Volume, average bet size, Positions Value, open and closed positions), a PnL performance chart, detailed trading activity tabs, and a top-20 positions heatmap. Note: Wallet Statistics is available for Polymarket only. Kalshi wallet data is not supported.
