What is Prism cLUNA
Prism cLUNA is a collateral token (CT) representing users' claim on the assets in the Asset Vault of Prism Protocol. A user with a Yield-Bearing Asset (YBA) will be able to commit that asset to the Asset Vault (AV) and in return they will receive a Collateral Token (CT) representing their claim on the assets in the AV. For example if a user commits 1 LUNA to the AV they would receive 1 cLUNA. This is similar to the process used in Anchor Protocol where LUNA can be used mint bLUNA. In PRISM v1.0 the CT is used to mint a perpetual Principal Token (PT) and a perpetual Yield Token (YT). In future versions of PRISM more maturities will become available.
A holder of a CT has several ways of redeeming the underlying YBA from the AV
- Swap the CT on AMM into the YBA. This process happens immediately and the user receives the YBA in their wallet. For example swapping cLUNA to LUNA on the AMM.
- Redeem the Yield-Bearing Asset (YBA) from the Asset Vault (AV). This will start the native assets unstaking period. For example with LUNA this will be at least 21days.
