What is Cardstarter (CARDS)?

CardStarter is a decentralized project built for the Cardano ecosystem. It primarily functions as a launchpad and accelerator platform that allows early-stage innovators and projects to launch their projects and raise funds. It hopes to connect the growing CardStarter community with vetted teams on mutually beneficial terms. Projects can receive help and development support with CardStarter tools and the community can receive access to early round token sales.

CARDS is the platform’s native cryptocurrency and is an essential part of the CardStarter project. It has a total supply of 10,000,000.

What are CardStarter’s key features and how does it work?

The CARDS Accelerator Program (CAP) is designed to provide projects with developmental resources. Projects can apply via the CardStarter website and upon successful application receive token engineering security audits, branding support, and web3 social media support, amongst a range of other help and support.

In addition, CardStarter facilitates tokenless raises. This means that projects can raise funds for their project, even before having a contract that can be deployed. This is via Token Vouchers which are available for use by developer teams to fund the costs of building their applications and products.

A key benefit of the CardStarter platform is the insurance treasury. In order to protect against potential project failure, each project must contribute to the insurance treasury, this provides a layer of security for community members taking part in IDOs.

What can CARDS be used for?

CARDS can be used to take part in fundraising IDOs and early token sales on CardStarter. The platform operates with a tiered system with each tier offering varied allocation amounts, depending on staking amount and contribution to the community.

For example, participants must stake at least 500 CARDS in order to qualify for the lowest tier, Deuces, which entitles them to take part in the lottery allocation with a pool weight of 0.5x. The highest staking tier requires 9000 CARDS and provides guaranteed allocation with a pool weight of 6x.

Other tiers include for community contributors who have the top wallets and provide the most liquidity, as well as partners who receive an allocation from a separate pool.

Where can you buy CARDS?

CARDS is available for trading on the following CEXs and DEXs listed here. The most popular platforms with the highest liquidity are Gate.io and Uniswap V2. The price of CARDS will vary depending on the choice of exchange and overall market conditions. For up-to-date and historic data for CARDS market prices, please view the price charts on this page.
