Felix Pago has raised $200 million to move beyond remittances and build a broader financial services stack for Latin American immigrants in the US, Bloomberg reported.
The Series B package combines $87 million in equity financing led by Andreessen Horowitz with a $113 million credit line from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund. Previous backers QED Investors, Castle Island Ventures and Switch Ventures joined the round, alongside Contour Venture Partners and Endeavor Catalyst.
Miami-based Felix Pago operates a WhatsApp-native money-transfer product focused on US-to-LatAm flows. The company said it has processed more than $8 billion in transfers and handled transactions for over 6 million people across 11 countries, including Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia and Ecuador.
Felix Pago plans to use the new capital to expand from remittances into lending, savings and other financial services, targeting Latin American immigrants in the US. It also intends to build an AI-powered financial assistant to support everyday financial decisions, and to invest in AI, engineering and financial infrastructure.
The startup has added mobile top-ups, allowing US-based users to purchase phone plans for relatives in their home countries, and aims to expand further into markets such as Brazil and Venezuela. Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Manuel Godoy said the product’s conversational interface is designed to mirror in-person trust: “The conversational experience really gives people the feeling that they are talking to a real person, even though it’s a chatbot.”
The raise comes as US policy shifts and changing immigrant demographics accelerate the move from cash to digital remittances, increasing competitive pressure on incumbents such as Western Union and MoneyGram International. Felix Pago is part of a cohort of digital remittance and cross-border players, including Remitly Global, Wise Group and crypto-focused Bitso, competing for share of a Latin American remittance market estimated at more than $160 billion annually.
The deal lands in a muted Latin American venture environment, with about $900 million raised in the region in the first half of 2026 versus $2.6 billion for all of 2025, per Bloomberg.
